A. Due to the amount of data that’s required for us to obtain, it’s not feasible to fix blocks on a per incident basis. EmailDelivered is built on a long term relationship with customers and dedicated to improving our customers’ long term reputation with the ISPs.
A. Yes, our affiliate program is available to existing customers with current subscribtions at this time.
A. EmailDelivered does not provide hosting services. However, we do have several hosting providers that we work closely with, which allow bulk email in conjunction with Email Delivered monitoring and management. If you do not have a server administrator you may wish to consider one of these solutions.
A. Email Delivered does not provide server admin services. Once we have set up your server, you are responsible for maintaining your own server. Server admin services once setup is complete is billed at $150/hour, with a one hour minimum.
A. EmailDelivered does not actually manage your list. EmailDelivered is designed to make day-to-day management virtually non-existent. Your account specialist will help you get everything set up in the beginning. Then, we’ll monitor your account on a daily basis to make sure you’re not blocked. All you need to do is check in every 3-4 mailings and remove any new bad addresses.
There are actually 3 options for managing your list.
(1) Depending on the email software you select, you can let the email software handle the management. You control the settings to determine how many hard bounces and how many soft bounces before a record (bounced email address) is removed from your list. Warning: this is not always 100% accurate and is the least preferred method of list management,
(2) Hire a 3rd party company to manage your list. Every 3-4 mailings – or once/week – someone will log in to your EmailDelivered account and remove the bad addresses from your email software, or
(3) Have your email manager or technical support person login to EmailDelivered once/week and remove addresses with multiple bounces. This keeps your list churn to a minimum and keeps your list as clean as possible. When managed in conjunction with feedback loops, you’ll be maintaining an extremely clean email lists, often in the top 1% of all email lists.
A. Email Delivered can work with virtually any self-hosted email solution, off-the-shelf or custom built solution. However, we cannot work with your email service provider or if you are using a shared IP address to send email.
A. Unfortunately, due to extensive upfront work such as server and account setup requirements (feedback loop setup, authentication setup, etc.), we are unable to offer a free trial. With that in mind, there are no long-term contracts and you can cancel the service at any time. All we require is a 30 day notice of cancellation.
A. The type of results, and the speed at which you will begin seeing results, depends on your current email situation. We have had some clients that move over from other solutions and seen dramatic results immediately (one such client had a 41% increase in open rates and a 74% increase in clickthroughs.
However, if you are currently running your own server, the results will vary depending upon a number of factors including: whether or not you have been setup properly with things such as feedback loops, authentication in your headers, etc. It also depends on the overall reputation of your IP address, list hygiene, complaint rates, etc. In other words, how good/bad was your email program before we were hired to work with you will determine how long it will take for us to fix problems and turn things around.
A. The only other costs you’ll incur are your email software (this is generally a one time fee) and any hosting fees. These can range from $50 to $500 depending on your requirements.

A. Getting started with Email Delivered is quick and easy. There are 3 main components to Email Delivered:
(1) A dedicated or virtual server with a dedicated IP address for email. If you already have a dedicated IP, you are good to go to the next step. If you need help selecting a hosting provider or would like more information on our partner hosting providers, please contact us.
(2) Sign up for your Email Delivered account. Once you have registered, we’ll need to collect some account information from you regarding contact information, list practices, access to your server, if applicable, etc.
(3) Purchase your email software. Generally this is a one time fee and the software you select will depend on your particular needs in terms of performance as well as functionality. For a list of email clients that we have worked with, click here.
A. There are 3 main reasons why your emails get blocked: (1) IP reputation problems, (2) domains in your messages, and (3) general problems with your content.
Each day, an Email Delivered account specialist personally checks your account activity from the previous day. Any time a major ISP blocks your email due to IP-related issues, we’ll submit a ticket on your behalf and then notify you that we have detected a problem and that we are working on it for you. Once the block has been removed, you will receive a follow up email indicating that the problem is solved.
If your emails are getting blocked due to domains in your messages, you’ll be able to see this in your Email Delivered dashboard and take appropriate action.
Likewise, if your messages are getting blocked due to spam content, you’ll see an increase in “Spam” bounces and you can go ahead and correct the underlying problems with your message content.
NOTE: Generally, blocks related to content are specific to a particular campaign that you’ve run and once you send the next campaign, they are usually resolved.
A. There’s nothing like getting started on the right foot. And for email deliverability, it’s critical. The Email Delivered set up fee includes configuring your server with all the necessary header information, creating required email addresses, setting up feedback loops with all of the participating ISPs, and testing your solution end to end.
For a complete list of what’s included with the setup, please visit the Email Delivered packages and pricing page.
A. First, it’s important to keep in mind that services use different “formulas” per se to come up with email deliverability statistics. Many of these services use formulas that inflate deliverability numbers and we urge that you to take caution when relying on these numbers.
Also, most of these services do not notify you if your emails are blocked and do not report email blocks in your deliverability results as well. Email Delivered is designed to give you control over your email deliverability and to know the truth about your email deliverability and to work on your behalf to get more of your emails delivered.
A. Regardless of the email service you use, if you are sending emails – there is a good chance that you will get blocked. That’s the truth. What Email Delivered does is 1) Helps you establish and maintain a positive IP reputation; which means less blocks, and 2) identifies and notifies you of any blocks and works on your behalf to get the blocks removed as quickly as possible.
A. Regardless of the email service you use, if you are sending email – there’s a good chance that you will get blocked at some point. That’s the truth. There are simply too many factors which can cause your messages to not get delivered including things such as high complaints, poor engagement statistics, content marketing.
Email Delivered WILL (1) Help you establish and maintain a positive IP reputation; which means less blocks, and (2) Identify and notify you of any blocks and work on your behalf to get the blocks removed quickly.
A. Email Delivered does have seed lists available for existing customers as an additional option. We do not offer seed lists outside of our existing customers at this time.
NOTE: By definition, seed lists are unengaged users. Therefore, we do not recommend relying entirely on such lists.
A. EmailDelivered pricing is based on your email volume. Most of our clients fall somewhere between $499 and $1299 per month. For a breakdown of pricing, please view our pricing page.
A. This depends on a number of factors including the service you’re currently using, list quality and list hygiene, recency of your list, type of content, and more. We’ve seen improvements as high as 70%. Ultimately, EmailDelivered gives you absolute control over your email marketing and deliverability without the hassles of management.
A. During the account setup process, we submit whitelisting applications for all the major ISPs that offer the service. Even if you are accepted onto a whitelist, this is not a guarantee that your emails will be delivered to the inbox. Whitelisting is ISP specific and not permanent. You must actively maintain feedback loops, respond to all blocks, and maintain good list hygiene in order to keep your whitelist status where permitted.
A. Every email provider is different. It all depends on which ISP has blocked you and why you are blocked. In many cases, we can clear up problems within a matter of a few hours. In other instances, it may take several days and/or some action on your part, such as removing bad addresses, assessing your content and modifying it to reduce spam complaints. What we can guarantee is that as soon as there is an issue, a ticket is generated, you’re assigned a Email Delivered specialist, and we begin the delisting process for you.
A. Email Delivered does not provide consulting services as a part of your monthly service agreement. However, we do have consulting packages available for our customers.
A. Pricing is competitive with 3rd party providers that send your emails from a shared IP and do not give you accurate reporting data and statistics regarding email deliverability, types of bounces, and corrective action taken. Email Delivered monitoring service is significantly lower than other services that manage and maintain your reputation, feedback loops, etc. The reason we are able to keep costs affordable is because you are using your own server resources and we are able to maintain each client on an individual basis.
A. Generally, we can get your account setup within 1-3 business days from the time that we have all of the necessary information and access. Complete feedback loop approval can take up to 4 business days with some of the providers.
A. Support is available 24/7 at http://support.emaildelivered.com
A. As an Email Delivered customer, you’ll have access to several tools and reports which will give you a good picture of what’s going on with your IP address at any given time.
Every day, we run a scan of your sending IP across dozens of the most popular email blacklists. If there’s a problem with a reputable blacklist, we will work to resolve that issue for you immediately.
NOTE: There are literally 100s of possible blacklists that exist. However, the ISPs and hosting providers rely on a very small number.
In addition, ISPs may also block your IP address due to specific activity such as high spam complaints, content filters, a high percentage of bad addresses, and more. In these cases, Email Delivered will take action on your behalf. In this case, you are notified that we have identified a problem and are either working to resolve the problem or provide you steps that you need to take before the ISPs will remove the block (such as clean out your bad addresses, for example).
A. We do have several recommendations depending on your particular situation. Some hosting providers require double optin in order to send bulk email, others have no problem with single optin email. Very few will allow purchased lists or shared lists. For the most part, hosting companies will allow bulk email in some form or fashion, but it’s important to pay careful attention and to be careful because many hosting companies simply don’t manage the IP reputation of the servers and, therefore, it’s possible to get a damaged IP address from some of the less reputable companies.
We’ve seen instances where someone signs up for a dedicated server, server setup is complete, and then various ISPs have the entire range of IPs listed on a blacklist. (ISP-specific blacklists are not always possible to identify prior to actually sending an email). Unfortunately, in cases like this, it is either up to your webhost to resolve the problem or it will require starting the setup over from scratch.
A. Before you sign up with a hosting company, you’ll want to confirm that they do allow bulk email sending. Keep in mind that hosting companies do have different terms of service (TOS), and we strongly recommends calling the hosting company or at a minimum, reviewing their TOS on-line prior to making your decision. You’ll also want to verify their list building requirements as well, i.e., do they require double opt-in, etc…
A. The number of IP addresses you’ll need depends on the volume of email you’re going to be sending and how quickly you need the messages delivered. Generally, if you’re using a webhost with a dedicated IP, you’re going to be limited to a single IP address. If you think you might need multiple IP addresses, please contact us to schedule a call with one of our email consultants to help you design the right email strategy for you.
A. There is no minimize list size or volume required to use EmailDelivered. However, generally our clients send upwards of 300,000 – 500,000 email messages a month and up. Our higher volume clients are sending 1,000,000 emails per day.
A. SPF records essentially tell the ISPs that you’re allowed to send email from “domainxyz.com” through your IP address. Incorrect SPF records can cause deliverability problems and should always be accurate.
A. EmailDelivered monitors one sending domain (i.e. where the email software is installed) and the number of IPs associated with the corresponding package. Generally, if you have separate companies, you’ll want to keep them separate in order to keep the reputation of each company separate and not run the risk of one company impacting another adversely. We offer discounts on additional packages.
NOTE: You can send from as many “from” addresses as you’d like. We’ll provide you the SPF records that you’ll want to add to each “from” domain.
A. EmailDelivered is designed to assist you with establishing and maintaining your email deliverability reputation. Simply put – we help you get your emails delivered!
The EmailDelivered service retrieves all of your email bounce messages, filters them, and organizes them accordingly. We then take action on any issues that may arise. Most email software can provide basic deliverability, open rate, and click through rate statistics as well as other types of reporting provided that you select a software package that has this capability.
As a result, we display important information related to your IP address, sending domain and overall deliverability. Generally, your email client will provide metrics on things such as email opens, clicks, etc.
A. If your customer service emails are being sent through the same IP addresses as your main email, then you will see an improvement in email deliverability for customer support. If you are using a separate IP address or a 3rd party service, then we generally do not have access to the information necessary in gathering the deliverability data on the messages.
A. There are 3 components to the EmailDelivered system. (1) Dedicated IP address, (2) Email Client (either off the shelf or a custom in-house solution), and (3) Reputation Monitoring. EmailDelivered takes care of “#3”. We can provide you with resources for dedicated IP addresses as well as email clients. We will also take care of all the setup and the install.
A. We do not recommend this because reputation is built over time. The goal is to run your email program properly and to repair any damage that has been created. (Think of your IP as your credit score. If you damage your credit, you’ll need to repair it. You can’t just go out and get a new social security number). New IP addresses and/or new domains are treated as a brand new account setup and a full setup fee is required. In addition, if you are sending using one of our partner companies’ IP resources, you will not be able to get a new set of IPs automatically. You may be required to set up hosting elsewhere in order to do so as we protect the reputation of our entire range for all customers.
A. We do have a sister company that offers SMTP relay services for our customers. However, we do not provide/rent IP addresses for non-customers due to the fact that EmailDelivered needs to verify that any senders in our network are high quality senders, not sending spam, and adhere to email best practices.
A. You will need a dedicated IP in order to work with EmailDelivered. Depending on your list size, you may be able to use a cloud server or VPS server. The key is that you need to have your own IP to send mail from.
NOTE: A dedicated IP for your domain is not the same thing as a dedicated IP for email. You’ll want to verify that your hosting provider is providing you with a dedicated IP for sending email.
A. Yes, we have online support that is answered by our team of deliverability consultants and experts daily. For all support inquiries, you can visit http://support.emaildelivered.com.
A. There are no guarantees that your email will hit the inbox with any provider. Anybody that makes this claim is simply not telling the truth. There are a number of reasons your messages may not make the inbox including: authentication, high spam complaints, engagement rates, message content, and more.
What we can guarantee is that you’ll be in the best position to get your emails to the inbox when you have full control over your IPs. And you’ll be able to troubleshoot problems much more easily by narrowing down problems and correcting them. Often it’s as simple as identifying a domain in your messages that’s causing problems or the overall message content.
If you’re using a 3rd party email provider (ESP), you’ve got a number of variable over which you have no control (i.e. other domains sending out of those IPs, the reputation impact that other senders are having on your emails, etc.).
A. An email service provider has a “pool” of IP addresses that all of their customers “share”. This means that you’re only as good as the worst person in your pool. So, if someone has high complaints, a lot of bad addresses, or causes problems with the IP addresses, you’re impacted negatively.
In addition, the ESPs are extremely strict when it comes to spam complaints, engagement rates, etc. When you’re sending through IPs dedicated only to you, with EmailDelivered monitoring your reputation, you’re only impacted by reaching the ISP thresholds, which are often quite a bit higher than your ESP.
