Q7. Email Copywriting 101<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Another big mistake people make when it comes to their email program is with regard to their copy! You\u2019ve got to be authentic. Be yourself! (Or\u2026 at the very least BE the persona that you\u2019re projecting 100%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Add to that, that MOST of the time, people aren\u2019t going to want to read a super long email message. Like all rules, this one can be broken IF you\u2019re a great copywriter and can write well enough to keep their attention in an email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Generally, they want short, sweet and to the point!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Email copy is a little different than a long form salesletter or a VSL. You are trying to accomplish different things. For example, you\u2019re trying to get an email opened or get someone to click a link to sign up for a webinar. You\u2019re not necessarily trying to sell a product or service in the message copy (in most cases). You\u2019re trying to sell the \u201cclick\u201d, if you will\u2026 or establish credibility and build a trusted relationship. It\u2019s a good idea to schedule your marketing calendar out in advance and take the time to focus on the email copy. Far too often, we type up an email and send it out as an afterthought just to \u201cget something out today\u201d when you\u2019re really missing a HUGE opportunity with your email program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So with email, you\u2019ve got to learn to pique curiosity FAST and give just enough information to get them to take the intended micro-action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
