But&#8230;&nbsp;there are some general guidelines that you can use to start testing and tracking your own email marketing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent study published last month by Mailer Mailer found that the highest open rates still occur on Mondays, with Wednesdays taking second place as opposed to Tuesdays\/Thursdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Time of day also plays an important role. The highest percentage of opens is between 8am and 12pm, with a steady increase starting at about 4am and dropping after 1pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NOTE: These times are based on &#8220;time scheduled&#8221;. In other words, open rates were highest when emails were scheduled between 8am and 12pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is likely because it&#8217;s the time of day people are most engaged with their email, so if a new message comes in during that time, they are more likely to take some action at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As such, it would make sense to test the timing of your scheduled sends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For over a decade Heather Seitz used email marketing to build successful companies and had to solve the biggest barrier to consistent profitability: deliverability.
